Like someone commented earlier, the pace of the class is slow. Despite this, the topics he covers he does fairly well. His exams are straightforward, but he prepares you for them with his lectures and the old practice exams he provides. So if you want to get a decent grade without an excessive amount of work, he's your guy. If you want to survey as many topics as possible then take it with some other guy.

Slow teaching. Do not recommend. There are so many better profs out there. Pick one of those instead.

I would highly recommend Rimer. He's a good professor. He explains things really well and in depth and he doesn't go too fast so you won't get behind. He won't try to screw you over with grades. I did well by just methodically going over my notes and his power point pres. and the old tests. The ta session helps a lot.
