I came into this class expect to learn a lot of the complex neuroscience. Wasn't quite satisfied, but with neuro being a pretty big interest of mine, I liked the class. If you are the same way, this is probably the one to take. As a prof, he's decent, grading is pretty generous.

He's a nice guy all in all, but his lectures were really boring and often hard to follow. He cares about what he teaches, but expects too much out of his students. Grading on the exams for the free response questions was very questionable, and he had a few wrong answers. He has a strange personality, but he's about average overall

Professor Bittner yelled at two girls trying to give a presentation for no reason. He said they were not presenting on the right topic when he did not specify at all. It was clear he was trying to make an example out of them but it would have made me cry. A couple of us texted them afterward because we felt so sorry for them because it could have been anyone he targeted. He made the group redo the project in two days. He also keeps people way past the time he is supposed to and gets mad when people have class after his. Is this not university policy to let people out 15 minutes early? He gets mad at me for taking another class for which I have registered? My grades are suffering because I took a class directly after his. I might ask him to drop me from the course because he is so awful and I don't want a Q drop on my transcript. Do not take this professor. I have never seen a bigger asshole.
