Student reviews of Peter Riley
Review from a student who took PHY 301
He's a funny, old, slightly eccentric man. He also tries to learn your name as the class goes by - but only if you speak up during lecture. Curves are ok, not great (about 10 points? per test so far). He doesn't make the tests. The questions on there are selected by the TA so if your TA is nice you'll know what is going to be on the tests ahead of time. Lectures are not worthwhile. The notes he gives won't matter much. You will understand better by reading your textbook. And that's also how you'll be able to solve your homework problems. You go to lectures to get your attendance and CPS scores as well as seeing Riley try to avoid injury to himself with the demonstrations.
