The course isn't that bad. He does attendance with the CPS remotes. Just give your remote to a friend and have them click you for the day. Almost no one goes the lectures. The class has a lab that is pretty easy except that the lab went faster than the pace of the class. The TA offers HW help the night before its due and gives the solutions to much of them. Dr. Yao is a soft-spoken person but he can be pretty funny sometimes. He uses the CPS remotes to take attendance, but you can miss a few lectures without losing points. If you keep up with the homework assignments (one each week) it's not hard to manage a good grade, and the tests are just like homework.
