Nui is absolutely the worst lecturer that I've ever had. He is very nice in person, but I learned more when I read the text than when I went to class. The rest of the class agreed- only about 12 people came to lecture on average, out of a class of ~100. The grades were fair, but I think that was because the physics department standardizes grades somewhat. The only reason to take this professor is if you aren't going to go to class anyway.

Horrendous lectures! Taking Niu's class makes me question the standards of UT. The following is a summary of a physics lecture with Niu: (1) Place text book on Doc-Cam (2) Copy example from textbook (3) Speak in an inaudible manner (4) Ask a quick quiz (5) Answer question with CPS remote (6) The ~15 students who do show up leave Niu should be avoided like the hobos on The Drag.
