Magnus is a great man, I had him for 618A and made an A in the class. I highly recommend him if you are very self motivated to learn, otherwise you will be screwed later in your chemistry career by just learning what he taught in class. His lectures easily confuse you because he covers so many things one day and then you just go over everything again for 2-3 more days. He absolutely hates tests and honestly believes that test dont mean anything in real life. The class is supposed to cover 10 chapters, you make it through 7, skim 8. He uses a different book than most of the other professors, so you learn a lot of stuff before the other organic classes. He may be goofy, but learn to talk to him, you will enjoy his company.
