Review from a student who took CH 610 A
Attendance is unnecessary, except to pick up exams. He basically reads his notes in lecture, so if you print those out and spend a few hours a week studying those yourself, you should be fine. The best thing to do however, is to study his old tests, he re-uses most of the material. A half-assed effort should get you a B, but don't expect to really learn much.

This is one of the worst professors I have ever had. He does not TEACH. If you really want to learn o-chem, this is not the professor to take. His lectures are useless, and he basically tells you to memorize the material. He make absolutely no effort to make his students interested in o-chem. This class is challenging, and Dr. Bauld did not prepare me at all for 610B.

There is no point in going to his class. All he does is read his notes off the internet. Just go back to your dorm and print off the notes and read the boom. Oh and study his old exams, about 60% of the questions are from his old exams.
