One of the friendliest professor I ever had in UT. Also he's a great lecturer and a very smart guys. Fun Lab though is a pain and writing lab report took such a long time although you'll spend only several hour taking data in the lab.

Great guy to learn from! He's very intelligent and it shows when he is teaching. I don't agree with his grading style however (see the comment right before this one). But I would take him again if I could choose, so go for it

Definetly one of the best and most intelligent profs I have ever had. You can tell he really loves teaching and he encourages students to come to his office where he always has cokes and coffee and other stuff. Teaches from slides that he prints copies of for the whole class to pick up at the beginning. The only thing that is even slightly bad about this class is that he will curve down on the top grades on the test, but if you get a raw score of an A on all of the tests, he will give you an A and you get exempted from the final, and it is a lot easier to get an A on his tests without curves than it is to get an A on other O Chem profs tests with the curve. This is a great prof to take, I don't know anyone in the class who doesn't like him.

willson teaches ochem with powerpoint slides, either you like this approach or you don't. the hw grade (20%) is worth as much as a test and hw is due EVERY monday!!! remember this when you are doing hw! YOU MUST DO GOOD ON HW TO MAKE AN A! Three tests and a final are given. The lowest test is dropped and the final is worth 40%. it is very difficult to make an A in this class. willson himself is very fiendly and wants his students to do well his grading policy is just f*cked up. he supplies practice tests but no answer key to them..... if anyone can figure this out, tell me.

Great prof, but be prepared to work your butt off. Very smart, and helpful, when he has the time which is not often. FunLab involves 25hr lab write-ups, I shit you not, be warned.

He's a greatlecturer, loves teaching, he's reasonable, and looks out for his students. The class isn't easy but he prepares you well and makes it clear what is expected of you.
