Ok...if your not into colonial america or history in general,Tully's lectures might seem really boring to you. This class is one of the tougher courses I've taken at UT(even the TA said it was tougher then most other history courses),but it was also one of the more enjoyable ones.I did learn a lot from the course, but again, the tests are hard, and the readings are kinda boring.Tully is a great guy with a lot of knowledge. I had to work fairly hard to get a "B"in this class.

Colonial America- I don't like history courses, but I'm glad I took this one. All assignments are writing, so if you're good at writing essays, you will be good. If you're not good at writing then you may not want to take this course. But Tully is really cool. It's enjoyable just listening to his voice talk about history even if you don't learn anything. Essay assignments involve reading pretty long history books, but it's not too bad. Though it does take a little bit of time management to make sure you read two books (per essay) and write the essay on time. Overall I would recommend this class if you don't mind reading/writing just because Tully is awesome.
