Sweetheart! I loved Eastman, I think she was energetic and interesting. There was a lot of reading, like 6 books but i thought most were interesting...and i don't enjoy history. I feel like i learned a lot of information in her class about 'true' history and not biased information. She gave the tests before hand. She put 6 possible essay questions on a sheet to prepare for a week in advance and on the test picked 3 to write about. How much easier does it get? I would definately recommend her!!!

Prof. Eastman's class is completely worthless. You learn absolutely nothing and it's a lot fo work. You have to read six books (3 of which are awful). There is a midterm, a final, a six page paper, and a one page paper. Her lectures are painful to sit through. She has a very little voice that puts most of the class to sleep and since her material is so pointless most do. Your grade will depend largely on your TA, so suck up early. Do not take this class! And if you have to, bring a pillow and a blanket.

She seems like she spends most of her life couped up in a library. Her class wasn't all that great...WAY too much reading. I learned more from the TA than I did her. My TA was great though, I got my grade b/c of him, not b/c of Eastman. I would take another professor.
