He has 3 tests total, last is accumulative, his tests are mostly diagrams that you need to memorize every single little detail. His tests are answer the question in short answers mostly, some long matching. He usually doesn?t retest you on things you already were tested on or other semesters were tested on. He really tests your knowledge. No extra credit. He gets super mad if you are late to a test and don?t sit in the right spot. I went in 4 times to go see him and he didn?t even remember my name or who I was. Didn?t like this class.

Details. That's what he's all about. You need to memorize every little useless detail for his tests, which are long and tedious. The tests aren't really hard, it's just that you have to have everything he has ever said memorized. And there's only so much we can memorize... Not a fair grader, and has no sympathy whatsoever. I wouldn't recommend taking him, try Dr. Mauseth or Dr. Franks, they are a lot lot lot better.

lectures are kind of pointless becasue he just reads the slides he has up and answer a question if u ask it. Tests are hard. You gotta make sure you know your material. He curves but that doesnt make up for the fact that his tests are hard. The discussion session was non existent. I stopped going after the third one becuase the number of people attending went from 10 to 5 to who knows how man less. If your stuck with this guy hes not all bad. Pretty funny guy. If you are a biology fan this class shouldnt be too bad but for those of you who sturggle with fine details, he lives off those. Not bad i guess. but man its hard. good luck.

This class is pure memorization and this becomes difficult when there is way too much material presented. If you have a good memory, you will do well. I started seeing him at office hours and he seemed helpful at first but then I got the feeling like I was annoying him or wasting his time even though I went during office hours. He did not make me feel very confident about myself. Something I had not ever experienced with another professor at UT. If you can avoid taking a class by him, I would definitely recommend that.
