This year there was not a class lecture, we only had lab. It sounds good, but towards the end no one knew what to do on the test. The instructions for the papers and the tests were very ambigous. It is a really easy class, for those who are self paced and remember all the dates and times when the stuff is due, because she does not really tell you much.

Review from a student who took BIO 325L
This class is pretty easy. The assignments aren't very hard, but numerous. If you do everything she tells you to do and include every item on her grading ruberics, which are made available before every assignment, you should get an A. The important thing is to keep up with the assignments and well on the practical exams, which don't require more than a couple to study for. I recommend taking the class if you need a fairly easy A and don't have too much more going on.

Dr. Franks is definitely not your average Bio professor. First of all, she's young, fun, and has a good sense of humor! BUT she does expect a lot from her students and the workload can get you if you leave everything till the last minute. Overall I would recommend this class - it's a lot of fun and you get to cross fruitflies!

Dr. Franks is probably the nicest and easiest professor in UT Biology! Her class is very easy, as long as you study and do your work you will get your A.
