Review from a student who took Bio379
Bio379 was one of the most fun classes I've ever taken at UT. Its a seminar style class with only around 10 people in it. You really learn how to read research and my scientific writing skills really improved. There are no exams, but we turned in a one page summary of the research paper for that week, and were required to present one research paper. Dr. Artzt is a fantastic teacher and a brillant researcher; she really made the difference in my education. The class is difficult however, and I wouldn't recomend it to underclassmen, even if they have the prereqs.
