Meyer just teaches the lecture portion of the lab. He is nice, good at explaining things... You should probably attend lecture for this lab just because it's only an hour a week and it will make things easier, both for lab quizzes and the final exam. Though it's not absolutely necessary. The powerpoints are pretty thorough and clear.
