Review from a student who took BIO 366
ok first of all, this guy is not too bad of a lecturer. his system of grading should, however, be considered if taking his class: for his bio 366 class fall 2003, the man had an undergraduate grader...i mean, ive taken more bio courses than she had...and i suppose his justification was that she was smart(???), yet the fact remained-CAROLINE HA was an UNDERGRADUATE...ok maybe i am prejudging this grader, but ive spoken to many other professors and they ALL have said that they have NEVER heard of such a thing. when she turned back our first exams, EVERYONE i compared tests with had different marks for the SAME answers to the SAME questions...i mean, i thought at the very least, a grader was supposed to be CONSISTENT in the criteria used for EACH EXAM!!! i have to say that this class did help with the Biochem GRE subject exam, but if u believe in fairness, try to take Earharts version, or try to get Dr. Jayaram to use a GRADUATE student grader. i was dissappointed by what i saw and the bad thing is NOBODY cared enough to resubmit exams to this grader...this could be because of the threatening email she sent to the class stating that the ENTIRE EXAM will be REGARDED, plus other things...Dr. Earhart may sound like a tough lecturer, but his class is absolutely fair
