Review from a student who took CHE 473K
He is very intelligent and probably too intelligent for you. This is exhibited in his lectures as everything that he lectures when completely over my head. Your grade in this class is dependent primarily on the TA you are assigned. Your TA assignment is based on the CO2 application you decide on and the amine solvent needed to reduce C02. My advice is to choose wisely. When I took this course I was stuck with a very difficult TA that decided to grade much harder than the other TAs. Rochelle says that your grade in this class is based on the amount of effort you put into the class and your assignment grades. My group put in almost 700+ hours with all of us taking a full load of classes. Be prepared as Rochelle's motto for this class is "work hard, play hard." This plant design course is not easy as with other professors and will need to work for your grade. This class took up all my time that I ended up neglecting my other classes and even skipping lectures for my other courses for a month and half. If you can wait to take this with someone else then I highly recommend that option. A positive for taking his course is that there are no exams. However, there is a report due every Friday and if you are not comfortable taking chemE exams then take Rochelle. Expect exams in plant design for anyone else that may be teaching. Good luck if you are him and remember to choose your TA wisely.
