If you are not a genius, find someone who took the class previously and ask for help from them. Hackert assigns rediculously difficult mathematics homework relating to topics barely covered in class with little, if any, literature to help you in your quest to find an answer. And he makes you sign that you did not work with others to get help. Unfortunately, if you are taking this class, it means you have to. Just beware.
