Dr. Browning is absolutely brutal. Her lectures are boring......she actually just reads her notes. She has no personality and it is very hard to stay awake in class. I advise not taking her.

Lots of studying for this class. Put in the work, study the practice exams, and you should be good to go. If you have any problems with the class (i.e., missing an exam because you slept in, like me) go talk to her. She'll work something out with you.

Pretty bad professor. Her "lectures" are regurgitations of her online notes at 8 am, so staying awake much less paying attention is a challenge. Homework is everyweek and done online and with random pop quizzes, it's necessary to go to class. Tests can be painful, so to avoid the damage, use every resource and do all seemingly optional materials. You should be fine if you have the time. Overall, I despise her methods of teaching like I have with other teachers in the past. It's another self teaching, fast paced course that could've been done much more easily with another professor. Avoid her if you can.

Dr. Browning is very sweet. She presented the material in a fun way that made it relevant to us pre-med students. She realizes that biochemistry is extremely complicated and she did her best to make it as easy as possible. She was clear about her expectations on upcoming exams. Her exams were difficult but fair. Study her power points, attend lectures and bring your brain to the exam and you'll do fine. There are two short papers (2 pages) due over the semester. The homework is online and is really easy, but will show up on the test so pay attention when you're working through the homework. Overall, I enjoyed the class. Don't be rude and distract other students with web surfing, cell phones or other behaviors and you won't have any problem with Dr. Browning. If you come to class to sleep or talk to your friends then do everyone a favor and stay away!!!
