Prof Gonzalez is really nice. He is very soft spoken though, so sometimes I found his class boring. Sitting near the front helps. His lectures are very clear and well organized. He answers questions people might have during lectures, and stays behind after class should people want to ask him stuff. His tests are all MCQ so there is absolutely no bias in his grading; homework is totally optional but doing it will help in getting an A in tests. Attendence isn't compulsory either. For our final he gave bonus extra credit questions. His personality is so mild that one of the 'rough' guys in lecture scolded some technician for interrupting his class w/o asking.

He's quite possibly the nicest prof I've had yet at UT. His lectures are very well organized and his handwriting is very legible (I thought this was important). His voice is soft, so it would be wise to sit at the front of the room. He gives 3 exams (you can drop one). The final is not a cumulative test. It is just stuff covered after exam 3, but you cannot drop this test. There are also two quizzes given during discussion sections, each counting 10% of your final grade. All quizzes/tests are multiple choice, which I thought made things easier. Take Oscar if you can!

Dr. Gonzalez is a great teacher. He is the teacher to take if you don't pick up math like an engineer may. His tests are relatively easy in comparison with other classes. Theyre multiple choice and he allows a formula sheet plus a review sheet for them which are exactly like the test(very helpful). Hes one of the kindest professors out there so if you can somehow register for his class, which is quite a challenge, take advantage of the opportunity.

He is soooo sweet. Teaches calc. like some teachers did in high school; breaks it down very well. I was bordering b/w a C and D at the final, and I bombed the final so my avg was a 62. I went and talked to him, showed him that i had been to every lecture, all my homeworks (which were optional), and all of my personal study notes... and he passed me. Not only did he pass me, but gave me a B. All he asked is for me to re-do the test in front of him using my notes and study materials. Such a nice, caring person. I was very intimidated at first b/c he is very good looking too, but I dont think he knows it ;)
