One word: amazing! I fell in love with his class from day one. He was engaging, and his reading list was really interesting. Sometimes we had a ton to read, but other times very little. He gave helpful criticism without demoralizing the student. I learned so much from this class, and I was amazed by his sheer amount of knowledge. I am literally scoping the course directory so that I can take a class with him, whatever the class. Yes, he's really that good. I feel sorry for students who go through their whole career here at the university and never get to take a course from him.

This class was my very favorite, I wouldn't have missed it for the world. Dr. Garza always had me on the floor laughing. His friendly personality and interesting lectures had me looking foward to class every day. The workload is phenomenally easy, I honestly don't think he gives grades less than a B, and that's if you really suck. You don't need to do the reading he assigns, although it's very interesting stuff. I plan on taking as many classes with Dr. Garza as possible. If you are even considering this class, or any others taught by him, TAKE IT! You won't be sorry.
