He's a very nice person and good teacher. His notes is very neat and capture the gist of what he teaches. The HW is time consuming but it would prepare you for the exams. His class operates jointly with Dr. Baldick's EE 351K, so they have the same materials covered, HW, exams, and grading. If you could not attend one of De Veciana's lectures, just go to Dr.Baldick's lecture the next day, or vice cersa.

Professor De Veciana was excellent for this class. His notes and lectures were very clear and easy to follow. My only complaint is that the homeworks sometimes took a very long time. This was a difficult class, but it was a valuable learning experience and I believe it will be useful to me in the future.

Great Teacher. He really cares about the progress of his students and is very helpful in his office hours. He is patient and insightful to the students. I found his personally very inspirational. If you?re going to take this class take it with him. If you can?t sign up to be in his class go to his lectures anyway.

This guy is mentally handicapped. If you already understand probability theory, go ahead and take this guy. You will probably enjoy it. For those that have no experience in it, just avoid this man. His homework takes hours to complete, and his exams are based on nothing but tricks that you can only get by chance or through tons of hours of experience in probability. The only people who take him and like it are people who double major in mathematics. Even though you are allotted three hours for the final, he will only give you two and in my class nobody was completely finished. Why? Because he is a son of a bitch.
