Review from a student who took EE 351K
Taking Powers for EE 351K is like taking remedial math. Compared to other professors like De Veciana, the material Powers covers is considerably less. It's not that he's an "easy" professor (it certainly seems like that), but he just asks very straight-forward questions on his exams. During lecture, he conveys the material very well, and I'm sure all the students understood it clearly. A few key sets of notes are available on Blackboard, which basically *are* your cheat-sheets for the class. I definitely learned a good deal of material in his class, and I'm walking away with an A. But still, I feel like I missed out on something because we covered very little material. I recommend taking Powers to students NOT specializing in a field where probability and random processes are important. If you are, then take a professor like De Veciana, or just take M362K after you take Powers.

Take this man for EE351K or for any other class you can! He's an awesomely easy prof. for 351K. If you take someone else, YOU WILL DIE, because the nature of the class is SO difficult. He doesn't teach from the book. He assigns hmwks. which are JUST LIKE the ones he does in class. The class will fill up quick so get in it! I also took him for 371M (which was a hard class) and powers is the shiz-nit.
