Psychology of Language didn't really seem like a Psych course to me. You start out by talking about evolution and then move on to the brain and its functions. I thought this class was going to be more theoretical about how we respond to language and why certain things are hurtful to hear and cool stuff like that, but it's completely psycho-biological! Dr. MacNeilage was nice but his lectures are boring as heck. All the class slides are given to you in a course packet but you still need to go to class to understand them. I didn't find the readings interesting but I skipped a lot of them and still made an A. This class focuses on specifics so don't just skim or you'll waste your time. Most of the tests are short answer and essay so know what you're getting into when you register!!!

PSY 337 was not too bad of a class. Just like what the other person said, going to class helps a lot but thats only if you can stay awake. And yeah, the readings don't help that much. The grading for this class is kind of odd. There are 3 exams 2 during the semester and the last one is a cummulative final, but they are all weighted the same. The exams are a mix of tricky multiple choices and detaield short answers/essay. The curve is set by the three highest averages. However, this semester had an average of 100 which left no curve. The prof also started to give extra credit in the middle of the semester to those who attended class. Of course I didn't get any extra credit considering I only went to about 8 classes because I found it almost impossible to stay awake. The reviews for the exams are really helpful. Even with all that, I still managed to get a very low B. Just be aware if you take this class that your grade depends on how much work your peers do and not just yourself...
