Stauffer is a great professor. Very knowledgeable and engaged in his lectures, I was disappointed to find out we would be reading a lot of dense material (Plato/Thucydides), but he actually made Plato fun. His 335M class (Classical Quest for Justice) required 2 exams, a handful of quizzes and an optional paper. Attendance is mandatory and he gets very irritated and will call you out if you have a phone or laptop in class. He's a funny guy who is very reasonable if you ever have to miss class. I'd definitely take another class with him.
