Review from a student who took ME 366J
I think J is the most useless class that I?ve taken here at UT. Sure, this class may be an easy A, but that does not mean it is devoid of frustrations. Expect to do a lot of B.S. writing on totally uninteresting subjects. Also, expect to have a lot of canceled classes that is canceled 20 minutes before the class starts. I had 9 A.M. class with Dr. Wood, we would get e-mail notice that the class is cancelled at 8:40 A.M. I?m not sure about you, but I don?t check my e-mail that early and even if I did, I would have already headed out by then. -=-=-=-=-=- GRADING -=-=-=-=-=- Almost your entire grade is on writing the memos. There?s only one ?midterm? in the class. I?m not sure why it?s called a midterm, since there?s no final and that?s the only test in the class. The grading on the midterm is very arbitrary as is with everything in the class, but don?t worry the midterm doesn?t really weigh that much. I believe the grade in the class is heavily inflated, because everyone in my group made it out with an A, and we didn?t get too many A?s on our memos. Not that I?m complaining or anything.
