Prof. Terrill is pretty cool. He's from Australia and actually normally teaches at Harvard but comes to UT every few semesters to teach classes. His main area of interest is China, but he also does a lot with Australian studies as well. The class was pretty easy. There were 3 tests, which consisted of choosing 2 essay topics out of about 6 that he provided. The lectures were sometimes kind of boring for a 9:30am class, but not too bad. there's no set attendance requirement, but there's an attendence/participation part of the grade that's pretty subjective I guess. It was interesting when he went off on tangents with stories from his childhood or stories about some of the stuff he'd done, like going with the first Australian Prime Minister to visit China. I thought the class was a pretty easy A, all things considered.
