Professor profile for John Stanton
Student reviews of John Stanton
Review from a student who took CH 353, CH 354
The PChem sequence was probably my favorite of the chemistry classes I had to take. Dr. Stanton really knows his stuff and has an engaging lecture style. He does not expect you to memorize anything as his exams are open note. While they are the toughest exams I've taken out of all the chemistry courses I took, I felt like they were really testing my understanding of the material. To do well in this course, really try to understand the process of doing the homework and how the theory works. He's one of the more approachable professors I've had and he also gives great life advice on future careers, grad school, etc. All in all, a quality professor and I'm really sad to see that he's leaving UT for Florida next year.
