Professor Sanders is very knowledgeable about the topic of genetics. His lectures are not too bad. I really enjoyed them because he made all the genetic terms and topics pretty simplistic and easy to understand. In fact, if you attend the lectures... then you hardly have to refer to the book. Yes, the TA is very helpful. If you are ever confused... then the discussion sections are the best place to recieve help and review the information. Yes, if you attend lectures and review your notes then it is easy to make an A in this class. Oh, in the Spring 2005 semester there were 3 exams (all M/C-no short answer or fill-in the blank) and a final. If you did well on the first 3 exams, then you could exempt the final. So, overall this is a great class for non-science majors.

Professor Sanders is so nice and he really knows what he's talking about. The class was easy and I really enjoyed going to it. I felt like I learned a lot, and the reading goes by fast too. Take him! He's so cute!

Professor Sanders is a good professor with a very indepth background in genetics. He makes his class very simple for everyone who doesn't have a very good science background (like many liberal arts majors). His lectures, at times, can be a little redundant and a little boring, but all and all he's a good teacher. You'll probably need help from the TA though, and her info sessions are very helpful. There are three tests and a final, and he drops one of them. The tests are pretty much only multiple choice and short answer, although he threw in some fill in the blanks. There is no homework and it's pretty easy to get an A if you review.
