Student reviews of David Hall

Review from a student who took BIO 301M
Hall is a great professor with a good sense of humor. His lectures aren't the most entertaining, but that is due to the fact that biology is boring. Hall's humor that he interweaves into his lectures make this bio worth taking.

If you do the sample problems that he gives you, you'll do fine in the class (as long as you study! :) ). He's a nice guy and totally willing to help in office hours.

Interesting guy with interesting stories. Study the booklet with old test questions (which was green when I took it) and the packet of transparencies. Green book or fail. Haha. Seriously.
Review from a student who took Bio 370
If you like taking good notes and using them to study for the test then don't take Hall. He's a smart guy but he goes way to fast to be able to take good notes. He posted the powerpoint of his lectures online, but there's a lot of stuff on the tests that aren't written down on the powerpoint. Only take him if you can write really fast. Don't think you can study straight from his powerpoint alone. I did that on the first test and got a C.
