Review from a student who took CHE 322
I took his thermo class and it's so fuckin boring. It's more exciting to see paint dry than listiening to what he has to say. Half of the time, he has no idea of the material and the TA for my class is a total asshole.

Review from a student who took CHE 350
I may have the course number wrong, but this review is for Brian Korgel teaching Chemical Engineering Materials. If you have the opportunity to take his class then I recommend that you do. He is one of the easier going, takes pride in teaching, and good professors in the department. When I took him for materials we had a quiz every single week, but if you came to class he basically told you what the quiz will be over. Me and my friends studied for the quiz by reworking an old quiz the night before and we did well the next day. I had no tests when I took his course, but I have heard that he has tests in his class. He will say so himself that he is an experimental teacher and likes to switch styles to keep thing fresh. Anyway when I was in his class he showed us YouTube videos and actually wanted to teach about how materials make a difference in everyday life. Take this class and you will enjoy it because it will be a good experience. He does have a final, but allowed us to bring in 6 sheets of papers filled with anything and everything for notes. The key to success in the class is not about what you know, but how you can apply what you learn. He loves to give graphs on quizzes and the final exam and if you can interpret and logically answer some questions then you are set. He is one of my favorite professors in the department and would recommend everyone take him. He does Plus/Minus grading, but he lowers the cutoffs and you can still end up with a good grade. Don't regret not taking him for this class.
