Student reviews of Richard Fitzpatrick

Review from a student who took PHY 303K
Take Fitzpatrick if you can. When students from all the other classes were getting 50% and below on all of their tests, Fitzpatrick's class was getting 100s. The other teachers seem to want to make the course a weedout, but Fitzpatrick does not make it harder than it has to be. The tests are exactly like the homeworks (and there is only 1 hw a week). Lectures are overall pretty boring, though.
Review from a student who took Phy 301
The guy was seriously a bore in class but he had a few good moments. He's an AWESOME physics teacher though. Find a way to stay up, do his homework, take notes, and you'll do fine. I slept EVERYDAY and I got a high B. He drops one hw and one test which really REALLY helps you out. Personally he seems kinda unsocial, but he's a nice person and very helpful. Just gotta force some conversation out of him. If you havta take this guy for physics: science and engineers then do. I hear he's good for phy 303k too.
Review from a student who took PHY 303K
If you have to take engineering physics 1, Fitzpatrick is the way to go. The homework is easy and it's less than all the other classes. The tests are way easier than the other classes. I should have made an A but messed up my final. Overall this class is easy for a physics course.

class is boring as hell! His demonstrations rarely work. but he is the best for your gpa as 303k profs go. the other profs aren't so bad though, people get wrapped up in class avgs and how ours are so much higher, but what they don't understand is that they will be curved about 30 points and our's won't be, but if you want to know exactly what your grade is and not go blind when you take the test then take Fitzpatrick
Review from a student who took phy 103m
the lab is bullshit. they are stupid and add unnecesary error to the experiments so you have to do stupid deviation stuff to do the error analysis. find someone from a different class and then alternate on the labs (makes life simpler) oh yeah and don't get stuck with a dipshit lab partner like I did.
