Laney is by far the best professor I have ever had. She is funny, kind, caring, amusing, and most of all, a wonderful and gifted professor. She explains everything with great simplicity, and will make absolutley sure that everyone understands the material. She tells funny stories, knows 5 languages, and is extremely intelligent. She goes far beyond the title of a teacher, she is a friend. She will ask you what is wrong and try to talk to you about it. As far as academics go, the tests are put out by the department, but she grades them fairly. There is some homework that is collected randomly and on a completion basis. Watch out on attendence, it bothers her if the same people are repeatedly late and absent. I couldn't recommend her enough!

Awesome German intructor. You can't really slack off in this class, but she's pretty laid back and explains things really well, and really wants her students to understand the material. Not a lot of homework, although you are responsible for doing all the workbook pages over the chapter by the day of the test. She makes German really fun, constantly making jokes.
