Review from a student who took GER 506
Vince is an amazing professor. The course is taught almost exclusively in German but you still will understand most things because he is so good at acting them out. He expects quite a bit from his students. There will be tons of homework and pop quizzes on vocabulary to make sure you are keeping up. How else can you learn a language without putting in hours of work? If you are wanting an easy A, Vince is not your guy. If you want to learn the language, you will find no one better. He unfortunately does not teach German any longer but I'm sure he teaches Dutch in the same manner.
