I hated 226R. Blinkova's lectures are dry and somewhat unstructured. I had a difficult time understanding what she did say because he accent is very thick, and her grasp of English is iffy. Her exams are hard, and there is no curve. I recommend taking another professor if possible, as she is one of the worst lecturers at UT.

forget class. you dont even have to go cuz her lectures are boring. all you gotta do is use the online lecture notes to guide you through the reading. i guess the hardest part is memorizing the genus and species from a sheet she give you, but there are only like one or two problems on there from it...so i wouldnt worry too too much about it. this class was a blow off

Blinkova is a terrible lecturer, but her exams are pretty fair and she reuses many of her multiple choice questions from old exams. She also ran over time, making me consistantly late to my next class.

Blinkova is boring and has a strong accent. You have a bunch of handouts for the course (textbook is supplemental) but everything still feels unorganized. Be a fast note-taker, she goes through slides quickly. You'll have to concentrate to understand what she's trying to say. I took Blinkova bc I heard good things about her and she's supposed to be an easy A. I don't agree completely with that, but if you do the work, stay organized, keep up, and go to class you should be ok. She's not the best but there are much worse bio profs.

Blinkova is very hard to understand, not a good lecturer at all. No final, only 4 tests, the discussion sections do nothing for you. She puts slides up and down before you have a chance to copy them.....She doesn't speak very fluently, and it's a challenge to concentrate.

Quite possibly the worst professors I've ever had. Lectures are a struggle to come to- the slides don't stay up too long and her writing is small and in a cursive that's hard to read. Her accent is also a challenge. She has stopped letting us take our tests home this semester and is obviously onto that trick. I got a high A on the first test with 2 old tests. Second test, I had 4 old tests and barely passed. She is not one of those professors who wants everyone to make A's.
