She's a really nice person, but she can't teach. She gets confused easily and is flustered a lot. She works hard to help students achieve the grade they want to get, if they try hard too. She curves, and a lot of her test questions are from the homework she assigns. Her TA the semester I took the class was terrible.

TAKE HER!!! i failed 4 out of the 6 tests, but with all the curves and drops, i still made a B. everyone is right when they say her lecture is nothing but confusing. she gets irritated easily when she can't answer some questions. and she often stops in the middle of lecture to look at her own slides because she doesn't remember what it's about or why she put them on there. DO THE HOMEWORK, because they're usually on the tests, and know the review sheet pretty well.

First off, Dr. Bergeson is a VERY NICE LADY. She grades pretty leniently, but I think it's to make up for the mass confusion created during her lectures. I sometimes wonder why I go to lecture. GO TO DISCUSSIONS and do the HOMEWORK for sure though - because if you've done that you've practically done the test. You may end up giving up on going to class, but if you go to discussion and remember all key points she emphasizes during lecture (if you go) and during her exam review sessions...You will do better than fine.

This is the easiest Bio course i have ever taken. If you go to the lectures and discussions, you should be able to make at least a B. She cares alot about the students. However, she does not lecture very well. She gets stuck in her lecture notes alot. And she would stand there for about 5 minutes just tryign to figure out what's going on. There are 6 tests that you have to take for this course. On an average of a test every two weeks. She likes to break the materials down to very small portions per test so people would study more. You should definately take this course.

Dr. Bergeson is a pretty good prof, she cares about her students and tries to help them in class. But her class is a bit fast and if you slack off them you will struggle in her class. She provides reviews before each of her exams and has lecture summaries on her website which I found pretty useful.
