Review from a student who took EE 360R
Very interesting and entertaining lectures. Some of the best I've sat in on at UT. His lectures are fairly light, and easy to follow IF you have done EE 360S or have a good background in VLSI.Some of my classmates struggled since this was their first VLSI course. The labs are very time-consuming, so don't plan on taking this course with any other lab-oriented course. There are 3 labs with 2 parts to the 2nd and 3rd labs. Each part takes about 20-40 hours, so you'll end up working on it for most of the week before it's due. However, if you can get Dr.Abraham, do so, since he gives out more A's. Else, Dr.Aziz is a good second choice.

Review from a student who took EE382M
Well I took EE382M under him. This guy does not prepare at all for his lectures and scratches his head when he encounters a difficult topic and as for the grading fairness wellwhat can i say he is pathetic . I mean he he is very whim sical when it comes to grading he would change at will the relative weightage of various projects, assignments and he does not give B++.Just A's and A- so that is kind of bad too. The course has excellent labs and the book is really good. I probably learnt a lot more from these than Mr. Aziz's lectures. he is always a second choice to Dr. Abraham. Take him if you just have to take VLSI1 which is an awesome course.
