Ms. Wolitz is pretty boring. I found it hard to stay awake in her class, which is why I and many of my classmates did bad. Just pay attention and keep up with the reading that accompanies her lectures. She has a pretty good grading scheme that allows you to count attendance (which you should be doing anyway) as extra credit and maybe do one of these group projects that she assigns. The class is also much more math than just macroeconomic theory so if you're expecting a policy-discussiont type class, you're in the wrong place. In any case, you may want to take this class for your social studies credit if you think you will keep up and are interested in the material but if you seriously want to learn this stuff, I would advise some other Macroecon teacher.

if you can manage to stay awake and attend each class it helps a great deal. you still have to study hard and the final is really tough. but if you're regular you should be well off.

Her lectures are pretty boring, but if you pay attention some of it actually makes sense. Still, i would advise a different prof...quizes are usually pretty hard, tests slightly easier...

I would consider her one of my worst prof yet. She doesn't do a very good job at explaining the concepts and she constantly goes off on some tangent/example that doesn't really matter. Lectures were Boring. The questions on her tests/quizes were much more involved than anything she explained. On a few occasions when students asked her to explain a problem she refused to - I guess rambling was a better use of class time. She just doesn't explain/teach you much, even though she puts everything on the tests. Her grading scheme was odd (with quizes & attendance being extra credit) but then in the last week of class she put out a 2nd grading scheme which was based on just the tests - this grading scheme actually helped me and I ended up with a B.

3 exams and a comprehensive final. Many ways to earn an A.... beware of her boring lectures (attendance is a must so go to class, buddy). if you really put time and effort (3 days before exam) and go over every online printout, a B is the inevitable and an A isn't far from reach. If an A is fairly possible, I don't see why not.... beware SERIOUSLY BORING TEACHER

Professor Wolitz is a great lady, but i thought her class was harder than shit. i never took micro so maybe this is why. I liked the class but i had to drop that mother cause it was gonna take a crap on my GPA. if your good at math and eco take it, but reader beware

I actually thought she was good. If you put good time and effort, you can get an A in this class. Her lectures may appear boring, but honestly economics is not a very interesting subject. She knows what she is talking about, and her grading scheme makes it quite easy to at least get a B with effort. Just read the book, and you will be fine. I talked to friends who took Norman, they said his class does not have much structure. I could be wrong, but her class definitely does.
