this is an interesting course and dr. white is a pretty good prof. if you go to the review sessions the essays on the test are fine.

The workload was incredible...as in a crapload of work! It's impossible to make an A because Dr. White and his TAs grade too harshly on the essays. The material is interesting, but the lectures were boring.

He's a really nice man, but his lectures are pretty boring. There's a homework assignment due every week, but it's not too hard. The test consists of multiple choice and an essay. If you read the assignments and look at the stuff he posts online, you should do fine in the class.

This class was a lot of work. I thought Prof. White was very nice but the lectures were boring. There is a lot of reading in this class and if you get behind you won't do very well.

Oh my gosh this class is terrible! Prof. White is pretty boring and tells really bad jokes, but this isn't the worst part! You have to read like 8 books including both the Iliad and the Odyssey! Oh yeah, and the essays in the tests are graded way too hard!
