I think she's a fun professor. Took her for Origin of Germanic Religion and Myth, and felt she did a good job of getting us all knowledgeable of the material. However, she does grade really easily, I think a lot of people stopped coming to class, but she's funny, so I liked coming.

Took European Folktale bc I thought it'd be fun and easy. She tries to make it a little hard and has daily quizzes to make you keep up with readings and go to class. Pretty nice teacher but doesn't lecture much and after the first third of the class, I thought it was a waste of time. Fair grader though.

Professor Straubhaar is a very down to earth professor. She is, without any shadow of a doubt, the most laid back professor I have ever had. I took her last semester for NOR 604, it was a fairly easy course. She did her best to make classes fun and relevant. If you have not taken a language class and need to satisfy that requisite, I would highly recommend taking Norwegian with Straubhaar. She is a fair grader and quite frankly, an awesome person.
