I liked the professor, what we read, the classes weren't boring at all, but where did I go wrong? I didn't start applying myself until the very end of the semester. Keep up with the readings, especially when you think you can't have a quiz that day-- expect one every day, because you're pretty much guaranteed one. Also, doing good on the small papers helps out a lot. If she can tell that you put more work into it, she's prone to give you a better score (read: attend office hours). Besides, it's in your favor for her to like you.

I enjoyed the reading for the most part, though the first 3rd was really poetry-intensive. She stimulates class discussion well, and always offers multiple perspectives on the readings, so you are exposed to different arguments. She does grade "like a hard-ass," but she also improves your writing, especially if you go to her office hours. She's a good lecturer, though its more discussion than lecture, and she is very approachable. Easy B, hard A, but i really enjoyed the class either way. B's make degrees anyway. I recommend it.

I loved this class. Readings were interesting for the most part. She's a tough grader, but if you go talk to her in office hours she'll really help you out. Great discussion in class.

The class seems very feminist and poetry inspired. Her grading is really though, and the class is really a lot of interpretation and knowledge of the reading material. Her lectures are decent, but a quiz almost everyday is really annoying. If your simply looking for an lower div. writing component...look elsewhere.

Learned a lot. Reading was kind of boring, and she grades like a hard-ass. You might want toreconsider this teacher if you want an A, cause she hardly gives em, and you gotta be one of those obnoxious people who overanalyze everything in existence and yammer about it into oblivion during class lectures--if you want an A, and quite possible, a B.
