He's very relaxed and usually lets you leave early. He gives hints on what he puts on the exams, so make sure you know how to solve those types of problems. His tests aren't super hard, and he isn't boring. Do the weekly homework and you will do fine.

Dr. Oberman was okay, but what really helped me out was the exceptional TA, John Garza. Grades are from midterms, the final, and attendance quizzes and homework count for a small portion of the grade. The homework load is reasonable, but can still take up a good deal of time. Lectures can be kind of boring, but take good notes and copy his examples because it will really help you learn. For me, attending discussion was a MUST because the TA did such a good job of explaining difficult problems and working through things with us. Tests are pretty much free response, working problems. I thought this class would be really hard, but it was okay in the end, and I even kind of enjoyed it (which is surprising, because math is not my thing).

Oberman is really young and laid back. His lectures are somewhat dry, but he's a really nice guy. Homework once a week isn't too bad compared to stories I've heard with other profs. You only have to make an 86 to get an A for the class. 2 Midterms, 1 final. The tests aren't super hard or super-easy, but are very fair. If you do the homework, you'll do fine. I liked this professor a lot.
