Professor Leon is very knowledgable about philosophy, however, his lectures didn't really make me more interested in the material. I found him really hard to follow at times during lectures, and often wished that the reading wasn't so dense. The class familiarized me with basic ideas in philosophy, which is very useful in other classes. All in all, reading the book isn't necessary to get an A in this class. Paying attention during lecture (though they are dense at times) and taking pretty good notes was the best option for me. Overall, good professor, okay class.

Not too bad of a professor. He comes off as somewhat monotone and empty, but like with any class of this nature, please pick a topic you have some interest in. Otherwise, it'll suck regardless. Like all of his other UD classes (had a friend in another one while I took this), there is 1 quiz, 2 tests, a paper, and a mandatory final with no drop grades. I enjoyed Medical Ethics a lot as a whole so listening to Leon drone on about it and manage to put a little insight into it wasn't that difficult.

The class is an ok class, but he's kinda boring... I tend to spend half the class staring at the wall waiting for class to end. =\ The grade is based on 1 quiz, 2 exams and a paper so you can't really drop the ball at any time. However, there is no final so that's good. I wouldn't really suggest taking this class unless you really enjoy all the downsides of philosophy (the convoluted readings).

7sv2kZ It as not that I want to duplicate your web-site, but I really like the style and design. Could you let me know which style are you using? Or was it especially designed?
