Take the self-paced anthropology course he offers! I thought it was interesting material to read, and I recall the book also having a study guide you can buy that can really help on the computer multiple choice tests. In addition, you can take the computer tests twice if you mess up the first time, unless they changed that policy. Decent readings and no lectures, you can't beat that!

This class was very interesting and I learned a lot about human evolution. Prof. Kappelman is very interesting and it helps if you have some physical anthropology under your belt. The course workload was heavier than I expected with labs due every week and course readings. The tests were on the computer and it had an interactive component. There is also a take home 3-5 page essay portion of the exam. The CD-ROM to this course is a must have and the books can be helpful but are mostly for reference. Take good notes, read the course readings and study the CD-ROM. Overall, the class was fun and Prof. Kappelman is a nice guy.
