Dr. Kallivokas is a great professor. He doesn't assume that you know everything he's talking about beforehand and takes the time to explain things that you should probably already knoe (e.g. Taylor Series). He has a great personality and doesn't give excessively hard tests (although I wouldn't necesarily classify them as "easy") I'm sure you'll learn something with him.

Stay away from this prof., his class is terrible and he is not a nice prof. to deal with outside class. He definitely treats females in class differently, does not explain his material well, and gives confusing homework. Overall giving him 0/10 as a teacher is unfair because he deserves less. Worst experience in my entire life!!

I keep wondering why UT hires people like him in the civil engineering department. All in all, he is just a mathmatician not an engineer and his class is as boring as hell!! Stay way if you can, avoid him at all cost, nothing good can come out of his class.

If you like to get tortured with homeworks that take hours to do because of complex calculations which don't really teach you what you are trying to learn, then take his classes. Otherwise you are better off taking classes with anyone else in the department. He writes a lot on the board and he will make you copy what he writes in every class (does not use a book). You spend all the time in class copying what he has on the board, it would have been better if he could provide his notes and then explain them, but i would not explain more from a worthless instructor like him.

He is a great professor, he explains the material conceptually at first and then works out example problems. His tests are easy and fair.

If you want to be bored out of your mind in class, take this guy. The way he lectures and carries himself makes most people wonder if he has a will to live. He’s condescending to students that get answers wrong in class while also being disappointed when no one will answer his questions in class. Don’t let him so much as catch you looking at your neighbor or he will single you out and make the rest of your semester hell. I honestly feel bad for the guy, he truly seems to be unhappy with his life.
