i took her for history of the us economy. it was a good class. although there was a lot to read, none of the books were that bad just some of them were long and/or small typed. it's a typical history class in that your grade is very heavily dependent on your TA. one note, is that you absolutely must attend class. not only must you cite the readings (grade was 3 essays) but also you must cite notes. the biggest downside is that paper related lectures were few and far between so you had to be in class. also keep up with handouts for papers. overall very nice lady, i'd take her again for another class

Yikes! This teacher was not so good at lectures. It may have been because she was ill this semester, but i think overall she was pretty bad at teaching history. I may have been spoiled by previous teachers, or so i thought, but then she had to take leave and other history professors from the campus came and lectured. They were great, they knew how to tell a story, set up the atmosphere and not use dry, bland notes with attemptively erudite sentences that muddle the material instead of enhancing it. That said, she at least grades fairly, or so her TA's do. If the class weren't so terribly boring students would probably do better, especially in a class where attendance is mandatory (not in the syllabus, but if you want a B you'd better go to class). Oh yeah, too much reading... and I like reading assignments, but there are too many chapters, books, etc.
