Review from a student who took ANS 302C
Boretz is a pretty boring lecturer - but it's important that you go to class b/c he does go over what will be on the quizes (there are 10 quizes total). Also, he tends to go off on a tangent, so expect to be behind schedule. The quizes are short and sweet - an easy way to accumulate points. There is a midterm and a cumulative final - sometimes he will tend to ask very specific questions (KNOW THE DATES!) Furthermore, he has a lot of readings posted on e reserve that he expects you to read - i didnt read most of them b/c more than likely you wont need to really know the information for much. However, let it be knownnnnnnnn he does, every once in awhile, expect you to know details from the readings - so basically if you want to do really well, u will have to read a lot to know very little. I know I've made him sound pretty bad, but I think the class was an easy A - just go to class (as boring as it might be), participate often in the weekly discussions, and you'll do fine!
