I don't know how, but I passed in his class, even though I failed just about all the essays we had to write. He is very vague during the meeting times about what he wants. During class, his lectures don't have a definite structure, so its hard to take notes. He also doesn't finish his thought. The exams are hard, but you get to redo them.

The workload in this class is excessive to the point that he HAS to truly believe that you have no other classes outside his. Lectures are boring and don't provide much substance other than what you already read in the plays yourself. Grades papers pretty harshly but you get to rewrite almost all of them if you want. The main problem is the extreme amount of work he wants you to do, especially in the last weeks of class...LOTS of papers, presentation, about 10 plays to read, and a final performance which must be memorized and performed in front of the class.
