Review from a student who took MKT 337
The last review was a very accurate one of Professor Alpert. The material is VERY dry but Alpert tries to liven it up with personal studies. Pay attention to those personal stories though b/c more often than not they pop up on tests. The wording of his tests is a little awkward. So you miss a question that you would have gotten easily if he had asked it the right way. The final is cumulative but optional. It replaces your lowest exam grade, which trusts me, comes in handy.

Overall Professor Alpert is a very good professor. Some say that the material is too "blah" but that's just how the book is. He tries to add some personal stories to liven up class. He welcomes you at office hours and rewards initiative. He remembers faces so go to his office hours as often as you can. Sometimes he puts one question on a test that you would never know if you didn't attend class. Since MKT 337 is the first course in Marketing, they don't hand out many A's, but you can get up to two points added to your final average by participating in studies. The final is optional and cumulative. I thought it was easier then the previous tests and it bumped me up to an A.
