Student reviews of Hina Azam
Review from a student who took MES 324
Azam is passionate about her subject, but it is very evident that her research is her first priority and classes comes far after that. She would give us "reading guides" that were not helpful at all, with some of the tests having over 300 pages of reading material it was kind of hard to study for. Like I said, she was passionate and nice. If you participate in class you most likely will get an A. Unfortunately this class, which I thought was a comparative religions course, was more of a religious history course. I still learned a lot, but the syllabus should be updated to reflect the actual course material. Lastly, because we talked so much about the election, we had to cut out the religion I took the class for. She does offer extra credit, does take attendance, and uses material from all the exams on the final.
