Student reviews of Kevin Lopresto
Review from a student who took M 315C
Kevin LoPresto has got to be one of the best instructors that I've had in mathematics (if you want to call this course a mathematics course) in my life. He does not lecture, but teach in a way that students can relate and can find out on their own (inquiry-style). The class is very hands-on and requires full participation of the individuals rather than just sitting there and listen. We don't have tests for the class, but we had two quizzes and a couple of homeworks that can mostly be done during class time. The class is pretty challenging, but if you don't understand, Kevin is very approachable and so are the interns. They really know their stuff and try to help you out to the best of their ability. You won't need to take many notes for this class, since most of the stuff is a lot of review and you won't need to because it is really hard not to understand the instructor. Overall, I really recommend taking Kevin LoPresto for functions and modeling.
